Not surprisingly, at least to me, the Go performed very well at high volumes. I could set it to, say, level eight or nine, and not really worry about distortion. It gets plenty loud at those levels, so a larger outdoor space with a sizable crowd would warrant going to nine or higher. It’s overkill in a backyard with closer proximity to other homes. Unless neighbors are joining the party, they’re going to eventually complain about the noise.

Overall this is a speaker that can put out a lot of sound, with a maximum rating of 121dB when using the Bass+ mode. You don’t buy a speaker like this for subtlety, you buy it to pump out entertaining music and to do so at loud volumes without distortion. The SOUNDBOKS Go certainly succeeds at this mission. It was frequently employed to blast out tunes in my back yard during pool season.

A speaker like the New Soundboks may seem out of place while a pandemic is going on, but it’s more versatile than it looks. Whether you’re using it in the backyard or comfort of indoors, or somewhere outside, like the beach or cottage, it’s only cumbersome because of its size. It can play low or loud. It’s also well-built, so should last a long time, and makes a statement no matter where you take it. If you like to throw parties, you won’t go wrong with this thing. That’s harder to do these days, but we figure that once you hear how it sounds and how far people can hear it, you may be sold and start getting ideas.

The Soundboks was built to drown out background noise at festivals – but such is its volume and bass, you could probably host your own festival with one of these. It's not the easiest speaker to carry, nor the most stylish, but if you're looking for a solid and powerful sound system for your parties and gatherings, this will definitely do the job.

This is a great speaker. Price seems steep but truthfully it rocks. Its hard to believe its battery powered when you hear how loud it is. Has a really cool little app with an EQ. If you want to get max volume select customize EQ on the app and raise everything to max. This baby roars. The highs are incredible. It has moderate bass. Dont expect subwoofer lows but it punches nice.
