Astell&Kern has introduced the A&Ultima SP4000, its most advanced portable music player to date, featuring major upgrades in both sound engineering and hardware design.

Revolutionary Octa Circuit Design:
The SP4000 incorporates A&K’s latest “Octa” circuit layout, designed to deliver digital signals with enhanced accuracy to a single digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This innovative architecture minimizes electronic noise, sharpens signal separation, and enhances overall audio clarity and strength.
Enhanced Digital Audio Remastering (DAR):
With its second-generation DAR technology, the SP4000 can restore missing harmonics and up sample music content, offering a more natural and refined listening experience.
Superior Hi-Res Audio Compatibility:
Catering to audiophiles, the device supports PCM audio up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512 formats, allowing playback of ultra-high-resolution audio tracks.
Robust Storage and Connectivity:
The player comes with 256GB of internal storage and supports microSD cards up to 1.5TB, ensuring users have plenty of space for their music collections. Connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, DLNA, USB digital audio output, and a USB-C port for quick charging and data transfers.
Advanced Bluetooth Functionality:
Bluetooth support includes high-resolution codecs such as aptX Adaptive and LDAC, enabling 24-bit wireless audio playback. The “BT Sink” feature turns the SP4000 into a Bluetooth receiver, effectively functioning as a wireless DAC.

New Earphones Debut Alongside SP4000
In addition to the SP4000, Astell & Kern has introduced two new in-ear monitors:
XIO: Created in collaboration with 64 Audio, the XIO features a 10-driver system using an isobaric cone-to-magnet design. It sports a stainless steel exterior with a sleek black finish.
Luna: This model is A&K’s own creation, featuring a single full-range micro planar magnetic driver. It includes premium silver-coated and copper hybrid cables and a 4.4mm balanced connector for audiophile-grade performance.
The A&Ultima SP4000 will make its official debut at the High End Munich Show, with pricing details expected to be revealed at the event.
