Earlier this season, we partnered with Things Café in Abu Dhabi for a relaxed Sunday afternoon of music, coffee, and conversation, a gathering where sound wasn't just played, but truly shared. At the heart of the event was a simple invitation: bring your favorite vinyl and hear it played on a world-class system. Whether it was jazz, soul, or an obscure find from a crate-digging adventure, every guest’s record had its moment to shine.

A Neighborhood Collaboration with Shared Values

This was not a typical Hi-Fi showcase. It wasn't scripted, and it wasn't formal. Instead, it was intimate, warm, and grounded in mutual appreciation. Sulaiman Al Alawi, the founder of Things Café and a long-standing Dubai Audio client, has built more than just a café. He has created a community space where music, design, and specialty coffee co-exist beautifully. As a certified Q Arabica Grader and CTC22 finalist, Sulaiman brings the same level of precision and palette awareness to coffee as we do to audio. It felt entirely natural to host a collaborative listening session here, in a space that values detail, care, and curiosity.

The System: Music Played with Intention

We were honored to be joined by Gordon Inch, the globally respected turntable specialist from Linn Products. Gordon offered guests fascinating insights into vinyl playback and the heritage behind the Scottish brand's approach to precision engineering.
To ensure every record was heard exactly as intended, we deployed the flagship Linn Klimax series.

The energy was low-key but memorable. Longtime clients of Dubai Audio mingled with new faces; vinyl traded hands, and tracks sparked spontaneous conversations, with great sound, exceptional coffee, and new friendships formed over shared records.
