McIntosh introduces MX200 AV processor with Dirac Live, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X

McIntosh has ventured out of their audio-centered zone with the release of its new AV processor MX200 which brings various home entertainment capabilities. The brand new MX200 has clearly made a statement about the competition McIntosh has put forward for their rivals.

Even though it looks similar to a music streamer, it can produce the space and quality for 11.2 channels of signal processing. It enables DTS:X and Dolby Atmos surround setup ranging from 51. To 7.2.4 or any range in between them, with the help of the tiny component.

The MX200 is a high-end audio/video processor capable of handling 4K and 8K content using its seven 32-bit DACs (Digital to Analog Converters). It uses advanced technology to deliver exceptional sound quality through multiple connection options, including HDMI, digital, and analog inputs.
The MX200 offers a variety of input options, including four HDMI ports, digital inputs like coaxial and optical, and both balanced and unbalanced analog connections. It also has a dedicated input for turntables.



If the above-mentioned is the case of the input ports, output has a different story to tell. It has 11 balanced outputs and two unbalanced subwoofer output with one HDMI output with 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz ranges and supports High Dynamic Range (HDR), Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG, with 4:4:4 color spacing, Rec. 2020 color gamut, and 3D video pass-through.
The MX200 features advanced Dirac Live technology to optimize sound quality based on the room's acoustics. The user-friendly setup process and additional bass and treble controls allow for easy customization of audio preferences.

The MX200 maintains McIntosh's classic look with its aluminum and glass design and signature illuminated logo. This compact unit fits into a standard equipment rack and is designed for easy integration into smart home systems.
