Chris Davids and Liam Ivory form the duo known to the music-consuming public as Maribou State. With eight EPs and two studio albums (Portraits (2015) and Kingdoms in Color (2018)) under their belt, they've taken the challenge of succeeding in the music world and turned it on its head. In addition to their own material, the two producers have collaborated on remixes for artists such as Alpines and Lana Del Rey.
The new song "Feel Good" from Kingdoms In Colour is a result of their friendship with the Houston-based trio Khruangbin, as well as their love of old surf riffs, breakbeats, and discovering different musical cultures. According to Khruangbin, "sometimes a chance meeting plants the seed for something bigger. This was the situation a few years back when we first met Maribou State at KOKO. We are thrilled to be working on this project. We already feel good."
