Overview

Form Follows Function
V-Material is nested in the top of the woofer and midrange enclosures for increased vibration mitigation and control. By using X-Material throughout all three modules, and methodically refining the internal bracing and panel thicknesses, Wilson Audio’s Engineers have enhanced enclosure damping to a new standard for this product category.

Wilson Audio Acoustic Diodes
Included with Alexia V is a complete set of Wilson Audio Acoustic Diode. An all-new spike system launched with Alexx V, which has been completely upgraded from our standard spike system, and features a novel combination of austenitic stainless steel and V-Material. This coupling system was created by Wilson Audio’s Special Applications Engineering (WASAE) division and has superlative vibration management that reveals far greater dynamic nuances across the entire frequency spectrum.

Leveling
There is now a seamlessly integrated Bubble Level on the top of the woofer cabinet nested in the V-Material insert which makes leveling the loudspeaker much easier and more convenient.

CSC Tweeter
First introduced in the Alexx V, Wilson’s Convergent Synergy Carbon (CSC) Tweeter now finds a place in the Alexia V. This unique and complex carbon fiber rear-wave chamber is constructed entirely in-house on one of our many dedicated 3D printers. Listening to the results of this special tweeter, one can’t help but get lost in its ability to present an unprecedented level of ambient retrieval and exceptional harmonic expression.

QuadraMag Midrange
The integration of the tweeter and midrange is an absolutely critical element to accurate sound reproduction. Originally, when Alexia Series 2 was introduced, it utilized the same cellulose fiber/carbon composite midrange unit as is found in the WAMM Master Chronosonic. This midrange has served Alexia well over the years. After extensive experimentation and system refinements the Alnico (Aluminum-Nickel-Cobalt) QuadraMag has been successfully incorporated into the design and selected as the main midrange for the Alexia V. First developed for the Chronosonic XVX, the QuadraMag midrange provides a tonally rich and life-like sound.

Enclosure Volume
Along with several aesthetic refinements to the external enclosures there is a noticeable increase with internal volume as well. The Mid enclosure internal volume has been increased by 6.4% to allow a more open sounding midrange. The Woofer enclosure internal volume has also increased by 8.9% compared with Alexia Series 2 effectively creating deeper low frequency reproduction and faster transient settling.

Crossover
Each custom capacitor used in both of Alexia V’s crossovers has been wound and finished at Wilson Audio’s in-house capacitor manufacturing department (Reliable Capacitors). These unique capacitors are made to industry leading tight tolerances. The AudioCapX-WA capacitors, along with fine-tuning in the crossover topology, have contributed to a new standard in loudspeaker low-level resolution.

1. FINE-TUNE YOUR SYSTEM USING THE WILSON AUDIO SETUP PROCEDURE A useful video if your local authorized dealer didn’t set-up your Wilson Audio Speakers.  This video tutorial provides a step-by-step process enabling the system to perform as well as the speakers, components, and room allow.  Here is the link to our official WASP video tutorial: 2. KEEP YOUR SPEAKER CONTACTS CLEAN AND SEATED PROPERLY Use a micro-abrasive jewelry cloth to clean the contacts on both your speaker cables and binding posts.  Research shows that a cleaner signal path yields better sonic results.  The sound also improves when the binding posts make complete contact with the lugs. 3. CHANGE THE RESISTORS ON YOUR LOUDSPEAKER ANNUALLY Wilson Audio likens changing the resistors in your loudspeakers to a tune-up for your automobile.  Extended listening sessions with elevated SPLs can degrade the performance of your resistors over time.  Depending on how loud and often you listen to your speakers, or if you notice a degradation in the output of one or more drivers, we recommend changing the resistors approximately once a year or when needed.  You can contact us for official Wilson Audio Parts & Accessoroies and find replacement resistors for your Wilson Audio speaker. 4. DISTANCE YOUR ELECTRONICS AND CABLES FROM HIGH-FREQUENCY TRANSMITTERS We have found that having your components near a high-frequency transmitter (i.e. Wi-Fi router, cellphone, etc.) can degrade the signal quality in electronics and cables.  The results are a loss in sonic fidelity. 5. LEVEL YOUR LOUDSPEAKER Level your loudspeaker to get better performance.  You can do this by placing a bubble level on one of the speaker's flat surfaces and adjusting the spike assemblies until level.  Here is the link to our official Wilson Audio speaker leveling video tutorial:
