The fully open-back design of the ARYA UNVEILED planar headphone eliminates the negative effects of sound wave reflection, an obstacle that impairs sound quality

The model is named UNVEILED because the depth and inherent beauty of the music are unveiled to the listener. The technology is based on the cutting-edge innovation and heritage of HIFIMAN’s flagship headphones, SUSVARA UNVEILED. Since the nanometer thickness diaphragm is sensitive to reflected sound waves, it is necessary to further increase the openness of the back of the headphone. This was the inspiration for the ARYA UNVEILED’s removable back panel.

Since the nanometer thickness diaphragm is ultra lightweight, it is easily disturbed by sound waves reflected and refracted by the mesh. Therefore, HIFIMAN uses a window shade design to increase the opening ratio, maximize the grill exposure and reduce the probability of refraction and reflection. The result: dramatically reduced distortion.

Magnetic Veils are specially designed to protect the ARYA UNVEILED’s drivers. Due to the magnetic properties of the driver, it is important to cover the ear cups with the Magnetic Veils to avoid unnecessary problems or damage caused by the attraction of magnetic objects when the product is not in use.

The thickness of the ARYA UNVEILED’s diaphragm is under a millionth of a meter. It is extremely light, and gives the headphone extremely fast response speed and outstanding dynamic range and frequency characteristics. Combined with the “Stealth Magnets” technology, the nanometer thickness diaphragm material is essential to the sonic output being clear and non-fatiguing, even after hours of listening.

Acoustically Invisible Stealth Magnets
The special streamlined cross-sectional shape of the Stealth Magnets optimizes and reduces the air turbulence and diffraction between the magnets, allowing the sound to pass between them almost unaffected, without disrupting the sound quality as is experienced with traditional magnets.

The PD10 is a high-end digital audio player designed as a bold step beyond Astell&Kern’s existing lineup, redefining the company’s volume control and aesthetic language in favor of a “breaking away from the normal” approach. It employs a quad-DAC configuration using AKM’s latest AK4498EX chips within a “HEXA” circuit topology that fully separates digital and analog signal paths for ultra-clean sound reproduction. To make life easier for users, it supports Smart Gain automatic amplifier matching, which senses your headphones’ impedance and switches between normal and high gain modes without manual adjustment. The bundled cradle lets the PD10 double as a home-audio component—offering charging, digital input, and XLR outputs for integration with a hi-fi setup. Rounding out its feature set are support for AirPlay, a high-capacity 5,770 mAh battery rated at about 15 hours playback, and a large 6-inch full-HD display for comfortable control and navigation.

With an ergonomic design to comfortably fit most listeners, the Arya incorporates such HIFIMAN features such as the patented “window shade” system that reduces reflections to widen the soundstage. A super-thin diaphragm guarantees faster response and the bare minimum of distortion.

As with all new HIFIMAN products, the Arya features 3.5mm headphone connectors that are angled at 10°, thereby lessening the pressure points associated with straight-angled connectors. These pressure points sometimes stress the connection, but the new design ensures a solid, reliable, and long-lasting link between the headphone and the cable.

The LED indicator on the front of the AK Cradle intuitively displays information about the track currently being played, just like the player itself. Softly glowing even in dark spaces, the LED provides both visual convenience and a refined, ambient atmosphere.

DESIGN Design Concept: Circle
The design of the AK Cradle is inspired by the circle, the most complete geometric form. As the shape that occupies the largest area relative to its size, the circle provides stable support for players of various dimensions while symbolizing the expansion from portable audio to home audio.

The interplay of circles and straight lines creates a sculptural form resembling a cylinder cut on a diagonal, ensuring both stable placement of the device and a comfortable viewing angle. The front-facing “A” logo not only represents Astell&Kern’s identity but also visually reflects audio information.

Crafted from extruded aluminum, the cradle is designed with a 50-degree tilt for comfortable operation on a desk or table. Its sliding port system enhances compatibility with different DAP sizes and models.
