The Nagra Classic PSU is a specialized, high-performance external power supply unit meticulously engineered by Nagra to unlock the full sonic potential of their compatible audio components. Operating on the principle that a pristine power source is paramount, the Classic PSU significantly reduces noise and distortion originating from the mains electricity.

Its advanced design replaces traditional batteries with a sophisticated bank of supercapacitors, offering the benefits of battery power—such as ultra-low noise and unwavering voltage stability—without the maintenance. The unit employs ultra-fast silicon carbide diodes and cascades of silent regulators to deliver exceptionally clean and stable 12V DC power.

Equipped with multiple outputs and custom-made shielded Lemo cables, the Classic PSU can simultaneously power up to three compatible Nagra devices, including the Classic DAC, Classic Preamp (providing a substantial upgrade even over its internal supply), Nagra Tube DAC (often a required pairing), and various older Nagra components. Housed in a compact, solid aluminum chassis matching the Classic Line aesthetic, the Nagra Classic PSU transforms system performance, yielding a dramatically lower noise floor, enhanced dynamics, superior resolution, and a more expansive, musically immersive soundstage.

PERFORMANCE
The Classic PSU is a very technically advanced product that can be seen as a compact HD PREAMP power supply. It features carbide silicon diodes, extremely fast diodes without recovery time. They allow a totally smooth rectification. It also includes cascades of silent regulators to offer a perfectly stable DC current for the Classic Line to operate with.

The Classic PSU can be used with the CD range of products, VPS phono stage, JAZZ, Melody and the latest Classic DAC, Classic PREAMP, HD DAC and TUBE DAC. It will revitalize any Nagra devices and allow them to express their full potential.
