D15s Subwoofer Overview

It’s all in the Details

Small footprint, big sound. Benefiting from many of the technologies of our flagship subs, these sealed subs generate amazing performance in the smallest footprint. Low Q, shallow rolloff response geared for sound quality and smoothly integrating into the listening room. Also, a great choice for using multiple subs to optimize in room response and smooth out seat-to-seat variation.

The D15s is the smallest single sub certified THX Dominus available on earth. Powered by our 2.0kW amplifier, all functions and safeties are controlled by a 48-bit data bath DSP and 32-bit ARM M4 Cortex processor, able to react in microseconds, powerful enough to slam. Ground up drivers developed by our team of engineers.

Carbon fiber composite diaphragms, multiple aluminum shorting rings, massive magnets, multi-layer Nomex spiders and lightweight aluminum voice coil wire are the key ingredients – Proprietary nonlinear modeling techniques allow us to simulate all these components and then optimize for real world driver performance – free air and in box. Further refinement is done with the aid of Klippel laser measurements to dial things in. All D-Series subs share our 2.4” LCD touchscreen display and ability to control advance settings using our App.

R5c Center Channel Speaker Features

The hardest working speaker in any home theater and yet the least appreciated. Natural, True vocals are never easy while maintaining super low distortion and extreme dynamics that movies demand is what sets the R-series apart. The same DPC control with clarity that make you forget you have speakers in your room at all and just enjoy yourself.

The R5c center has the Perlisten R-series DPC array to offer real timbre matching on every part of your Perlisten Home Theater. We take Timbre matching to another level and no sacrifices are made just because it’s a surround, we care, and know you do too. Not only are the same materials used but the same response targets for on and off axis response that the R-series and S-series speakers uphold are used because you deserve it.

R4b Bookshelf Speakers Features

The R-series bookshelf is a culmination of S-series patented technology with materials developed from the ground up in every part of the design just like it’s big brothers. The R4b can be the heart of any 2.1 system, LCR for a small theater, or Surrounds using a complete no holds barred R-series system. Silky smooth, loads of dynamic range, and great transient response. Hallmarks of a Perlisten speaker.

The DPC array sits above a 6.5" bass driver covering from 1.25kHz downwards, acting in a sealed cabinet making them very room friendly and easier to site.

Ideally designed to be used with a subwoofer, the R4b will cover 80Hz-20kHz within only a +/-1.5dB deviation, and produce a peak output of 107.6dB.

All of this tech helps the R4b achieve a THX Ultra rating, capable of effortlessly filling large rooms with cinema levels of sound quality.

As with all Perlisten loudspeakers, the R4b is centred around the DPC array, comprising of three 26mm soft domes in a vertical array. The centre dome is the HF unit, covering frequencies above 4.4kHz. The output from this unit is controlled on the horizontal plane to reduce dispersion to focus on the listening position, and reducing HF reflection from side walls. Vertically, its output is highly controlled, vastly reducing sound quality killing floor and ceiling reflections, even in highly reflective rooms.

The flanking 26mm midrange domes cover between 1.25kHz and 4.4kHz, producing a more responsive midrange that is more accurate and less coloured by what would conventionally be a much larger driver.

R4s Surround Speakers Features

As with all Perlisten loudspeakers, the R4s is centred around the DPC array, comprising of three 26mm soft domes in a vertical array. The centre dome is the HF unit, covering frequencies above 4.4kHz. The output from this unit is controlled on the horizontal plane to reduce dispersion to focus on the listening position, reducing HF reflection from side walls. Vertically, its output is highly controlled, vastly reducing floor and ceiling reflections.

The flanking 26mm midrange domes cover between 1.25kHz and 4.4kHz, producing a more responsive midrange that is far less coloured by what would conventionally be a larger driver.

As the R4s is primarily designed as a wall-mounted effects speaker, the DPC array sits below a 6.5" bass driver covering from 1.25kHz downwards, acting in a sealed cabinet making them very room friendly. They're flexible enough to also be used as all five loudspeakers in a wall-mounted 5.1 surround system, for example, for those wanting a non in-wall, but discrete high performance system.

The R4s will cover 300Hz-20kHz within only a very narrow +/-1.5dB deviation, with typical against-wall placement providing a bass response down to 48Hz at -10dB, and produce a peak output of 109.5dB.

All of this tech helps the R4s achieve a THX Ultra rating, capable of effortlessly filling large rooms with cinema levels of sound quality.

1.5 - 3.0 KW OF INTELLIGENCE
At the core of our amps is a 32-bit ARM processor to control innovative technologies like real-time temperature status, current and voltage monitoring, fault detection, and performance diagnostics executed more than 1,000 times per second. All of this to make sure that our 3 kW amplifiers are always in control, even well below 20 Hz. In addition, we have dual balanced and single-ended inputs with passthrough, 12v trigger, and OTA firmware updates via our app to always deliver the latest improvements. The end result is low distortion bass for the finest details with the dynamic range to meet the highest transients without compression and control at the click of a button.

App Control
Bass management is critical to the control the notoriously difficult acoustic environment known as your listening room. Standing waves, subwoofers placed in a less than ideal position, and sound variation from seat to seat are only some of these issues. Control for up to eight subwoofers with three banks of 10 PEQ’s per woofer, Time Delay, Phase, up to six standard EQ’s, 24 dB lowpass crossovers and polarity switching, are all tools available to optimize in-room performance. Our app uses Bluetooth Low Energy to communicate with your iOS or Android based devices.

MHT300 Features

Full Power to All Speakers All the Time
Don’t be fooled by high watts per channel specs listed by many other AV receivers on the market as many times the fine print will show that those power ratings only apply to just two channels driven. That may be fine for a stereo setup, but a home theater has a lot more than just two channels to drive.

With the MHT300, the power ratings are for all seven channels being driven. That means every 4 Ohm speaker will receive 150 Watts and every 8 Ohm speaker will receive 120 Watts of heart pounding McIntosh power to bring all your favorite movies and video content to life. Every explosion, every car chase, every high-speed flyby of a fighter jet or spaceship, every roar of the crowd after a game winning score will be faithfully reproduced by 120 – 150 Watts on every one of your speakers. With the MHT300, you’ll no longer have to wonder if each speaker is getting the full power listed on the box.

Can Expand with Your Needs
The MHT300 can also grow with your theater as its individual amplifier modules can be configured in many ways to suit your specific speaker configuration. If someday your home cinema expands beyond seven channels, additional external amplifiers can be connected to the MHT300 to power them via the Height 1 and Height 2 audio outputs. An external amplifier, such as the McIntosh MI254 4-Channel Amplifier, would be connected to these outputs to drive these additional speakers. This would effectively turn the MHT300 into a 7.2.4 channel AVR.

Even if you do not add more speakers to your home cinema, more power could be added. For example, if you decide you want more power for your front left and right speakers, you can add an external stereo amplifier to your system (such as the McIntosh MI502 amplifier) and connect it to the MHT300 by simply removing the jumper from the selected channel(s), then connecting the output on the MHT300 to the input on the stereo amplifier. Or you could connect a higher power mono amplifier to drive the center channel speaker. In these cases, the selected channel(s) would be driven by the more powerful external amplifier.

State of the Art Room Correction
Advanced room adjustment and correction is provided via Dirac Live® Room Correction. Dirac Live is an advanced room acoustic solution that enables users to optimize their sound systems and reduce unwanted effects introduced by the room. Utilizing purpose-built audio algorithms, Dirac Live provides world-class room correction with time domain correction by means of patented mixed-phase filter technology – something that all other solutions are missing. Their room correction solution has brought unparalleled fidelity to hundreds of thousands of delighted users worldwide, in listening situations as diverse as bedroom stereo setups, professional mixing studios, and some of the world’s most exclusive home theaters.

Connectivity
The MHT300 has 4 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output. Each HDMI port is HDCP 2.3 compliant and support 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz. All ports have 40Gbps of bandwidth and are compatible with High Dynamic Range (HDR) formats Dolby Vision™, HDR10 and HLG; 4:4:4 color spacing; Rec. 2020; and 3D video pass-through.1

The HDMI output features enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) functionality. Audio Return Channel allows a compatible TV to send audio data to the audio video processor over the HDMI cable, eliminating the need for separate audio cables. eARC offers improved bandwidth so higher resolution audio formats such as DTS-HD Master Audio™, DTS:X®, Dolby TrueHD, and Dolby Atmos can be sent through the HDMI cable, allowing the MHT300 to deliver the best possible sound quality.2 Two coax and 2 optical digital audio inputs are included to connect additional audio devices, while 2 subwoofer outputs will let you have as much bone rattling bass as you want in your theater.

Seven premium 32-bit Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs) provide audiophile grade processing. Bass and treble tone controls are included to help fine tune the audio to your personal preferences. Sturdy 5-way speaker binding posts will firmly connect your speaker cables so you do not have to worry about them coming loose.

Easy Setup
Setup and configuration are easily performed via computer interface. To save time, your installer can pre-configure your unit before bringing it to your home and then simply load the configuration file at installation. Similarly, you or your integrator could backup your configuration file onto a computer or USB stick for safe keeping; then you could even experiment with different configurations to listen for better performance safe in the knowledge that you could reinstall the original setup. The MHT300 can be operated via the included remote control, or your integrator can easily incorporate it into your home automation system via RS232 control protocol.

A work of art that can be placed front and center in your home theater for all to enjoy, the MHT300 can also be placed in hidden or out-of-the-way A/V equipment rack thanks to the included rack mounting brackets and its 3U rack size.
