Triton Reference Overview
The Triton Reference is an evolution of everything GoldenEar has achieved with the Triton One but taken to a stunning new level of sonic performance and sophisticated visual design. All the components in the T Ref: including the larger active sub-bass drivers with huge Focused Field™ magnet structures, upper-bass/midrange drivers also with Focused Field magnet structures, and GoldenEar’s signature high-velocity folded ribbon tweeter with 50% more rare earth neodymium magnet material, is brand new and has been specifically developed for use in the Reference. The powerful 1800 watt subwoofer amplifier, with level control to fine-tune the bass to your room, and 56-bit DSP control unit are an evolution of those used in the Triton One and our SuperSubs.
The new 6" upper/bass/midrange drivers are cast-basket units that incorporate a low-mass voice coil and a newly developed cone with unique low-mass bonding to the butyl rubber surround for an improved transient response. In addition, they have a large, newly designed, specially engineered Focused Field magnet structure, which better directs the magnet flux to the voice coil gap.
The newly engineered 6" x 10" active low-frequency drivers for the built-in powered subwoofers have 40% more surface area than the active drivers used in the Triton One, along with a larger diameter voice coil and an even more massive magnet structure which also utilizes our Focused Field technology.
The new Reference High-Velocity Folded-Ribbon tweeter incorporates 50% more rare-earth neodymium magnet material than do our other HVFR tweeters, for improved transient response and higher efficiency.
The four inertially balanced 10-1/4" x 9-1/2" side-mounted (two on each side,) planar, infrasonic radiators are similar to those used in the SuperSub X, but with a greater excursion.
There is a myriad of other significant upgrades and refinements, including new internal wiring with a specially developed twist, further development of our signature balanced crossover including film capacitors bridged across the high-pass section on the upper-bass/midrange drivers, a unique proprietary mix of long-fiber lamb’s wool and Dacron for more effective internal damping, intensive work with a high-resolution accelerometer to determine the most effective implementation of complex internal bracing, a 3/32"-thick steel plate built into the medite base to further stiffen it for increased stability, which results in higher resolution of subtle details, new stainless steel floor spikes and cups … and the list goes on and on.
Visually, the Reference offers a strikingly beautiful upgrade to the classic Triton styling, with a gorgeous hand-rubbed piano gloss-black lacquer finished one-piece monocoque cabinet. Sleek, statuesque, and refined, the Reference is simply a gorgeous statement piece that will excite listeners with its dynamic visual presence, as well as its extraordinary sonic performance.
Sonically, the Reference has been engineered to perform with a dramatic and authoritative voice, comparable to speakers that sell for 10 and more times its surprisingly affordable price. They completely disappear, with superb three-dimensional imaging that stretches from wall to wall and beyond, and depth that makes the wall behind them seem to vanish. The astonishing bass is rock-solid with low-frequency performance that is tight, quick, highly impactful, and musical with extension flat to 20 Hz and below.
Another GoldenEar signature is a silky smooth high end that extends to 35 kHz with a lifelike sheen but no trace of hardness, sibilance, or stridency so common with lesser tweeters. Tremendous time and energy have been put into the voicing of the speaker and the seamless blending of the drivers, for unmatched musicality with all types of music, and home theater perfection. Rarely do speakers excel at both, but with their world-class neutrality, the Reference absolutely does. A special bonus is the Reference’s extremely high 93.25 dB sensitivity, which gives them tremendous dynamic range and allows use with almost any high-quality amplifier, including many SET tube amps.
SuperCenter Reference Center Channel Speaker Overview
The top of the SuperCenter lineup is the reference-performance SuperCenter Reference, the perfect match for large GoldenEar home theater systems. Only 35” wide, it includes four 5-1/4" drivers utilizing the focused-field magnet structure developed for the Triton Reference, the GoldenEar Reference high-gauss High Velocity Folded Ribbon tweeter, and three planar passive radiators. Our unique linear-phase crossover network employs a fully balanced topology which reduces stray capacitances for dramatically improved clarity. It utilizes precision film capacitors and special internal wiring to perfectly blend the drivers for a seamless homogeneous sound. There are three separate internal chambers: a larger one in the center which contains two 5-1/4˝ drivers which run up to meet the tweeter and are coupled to the larger, 7˝ x 10˝ passive radiator in the center, and two smaller ones which each contain a special 5-1/4˝ driver engineered for low frequency response, which runs up to 500 Hz, and is coupled to one of the smaller, 6-3/4˝ x 8˝ passives.
The SuperCenters are high-performance center channel speakers appropriate for the highest quality home theatre systems. These center channel speaker models incorporate a D’Appolito Array of two long-throw 5-1/4˝ bass/midrange drivers (four, with reference focused field magnet structures, on the Reference model) surrounding one of our signature High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR) tweeters (and a High-Gauss Reference HVFR on the Reference model). The 5-1/4˝ drivers incorporate spiderleg cast baskets for rigidity and minimal internal reflection, as well as our unique multi-vaned phase plugs (MVPP), to minimize cross-apex wave propagation interference. They also utilize top-mounted pressure-coupled quadratic planar low frequency radiators that both extend the bass response as well as provide the bass/midrange drivers with ideal acoustic loading and damping. Since the top-mounted passive radiators put out a very low frequency pressure wave, they only require an inch or two of clearance above them so they can be placed in cabinets/wall units if desired (always position the speaker at the front of the opening for best performance)..

SuperSat 60 Satellite Speaker Overview
Every GoldenEar SuperSat satellite speaker model takes advantage of the extraordinary GoldenEar High‐Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR™) design tweeter. The HVFR tweeter propagates sound waves and moves the air by squeezing it with its accordion‐like pleated diaphragm, rather than pushing it as conventional drivers do. SuperCenter Reference Center Channel Speaker Features

Triton Reference Overview
The Triton Reference is an evolution of everything GoldenEar has achieved with the Triton One but taken to a stunning new level of sonic performance and sophisticated visual design. All the components in the T Ref: including the larger active sub-bass drivers with huge Focused Field™ magnet structures, upper-bass/midrange drivers also with Focused Field magnet structures, and GoldenEar’s signature high-velocity folded ribbon tweeter with 50% more rare earth neodymium magnet material, is brand new and has been specifically developed for use in the Reference. The powerful 1800 watt subwoofer amplifier, with level control to fine-tune the bass to your room, and 56-bit DSP control unit are an evolution of those used in the Triton One and our SuperSubs.
The new 6" upper/bass/midrange drivers are cast-basket units that incorporate a low-mass voice coil and a newly developed cone with unique low-mass bonding to the butyl rubber surround for an improved transient response. In addition, they have a large, newly designed, specially engineered Focused Field magnet structure, which better directs the magnet flux to the voice coil gap.
The newly engineered 6" x 10" active low-frequency drivers for the built-in powered subwoofers have 40% more surface area than the active drivers used in the Triton One, along with a larger diameter voice coil and an even more massive magnet structure which also utilizes our Focused Field technology.
The new Reference High-Velocity Folded-Ribbon tweeter incorporates 50% more rare-earth neodymium magnet material than do our other HVFR tweeters, for improved transient response and higher efficiency.
The four inertially balanced 10-1/4" x 9-1/2" side-mounted (two on each side,) planar, infrasonic radiators are similar to those used in the SuperSub X, but with a greater excursion.
There is a myriad of other significant upgrades and refinements, including new internal wiring with a specially developed twist, further development of our signature balanced crossover including film capacitors bridged across the high-pass section on the upper-bass/midrange drivers, a unique proprietary mix of long-fiber lamb’s wool and Dacron for more effective internal damping, intensive work with a high-resolution accelerometer to determine the most effective implementation of complex internal bracing, a 3/32"-thick steel plate built into the medite base to further stiffen it for increased stability, which results in higher resolution of subtle details, new stainless steel floor spikes and cups … and the list goes on and on.

SuperCenter Reference Center Channel Speaker Features
The mega-high-performance SuperCenter Reference is only 35" wide and includes four 5-1/4" High-Definition Cast-Basket Reference Bass/Midrange Drivers with Focused Field Magnet Structures, the GoldenEar Reference High Gauss Neodymium High Velocity Folded Ribbon tweeter, three planar passive radiators, and our unique linear-phase crossover, employing fully balanced technology and precision film capacitors. The unique
balanced topology reduces stray capacitance in the magnetic circuit, among other things, with the result of dramatically improved clarity. There are three separate internal chambers: a larger one in the center which contains two 5-1/4" drivers which run up to meet the tweeter and are coupled to the larger, 7" x 10" passive radiator in the center, and two smaller ones which each contain a special 5-1/4" driver engineered for low frequency response, which runs up to 500 Hz, and is coupled to one of the smaller, 6-3/4" x 8" passives.
SuperSat 60 Satellite Speaker Features
The sleek, attractively sculpted cabinet follows the same design philosophy that won the SuperSat 50 the highly respected Resi Award as the industry’s best looking on-wall loudspeaker. It is constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum and finished in gorgeous piano-gloss black. It contains four GoldenEar engineered 4.5" cast spiderleg-basket bass/midrange drivers with Multi-Vaned Phase-Plugs (MVPP) configured in a two-stage D’Appolito Array surrounding our signature High-Velocity Folded Ribbon high-frequency radiator. Two 4" x 7" quadratic planar low frequency radiators complete the driver complement, perfectly loading the bass/midrange drivers for open, boxless midrange and extended low-frequency response.
The SuperSat 60 and 60C’s very thin depth makes them perfect for wall mounting next to the latest super thin TVs. This is easily accomplished using the threaded inserts or keyhole mounts on the rear. Dual adjustable feet allow multiple angles when shelf-mounting the horizontal center-channel 60C. In addition, optional floor and tabletop stands are available for vertical mounting - note total height of speaker and floor stand is 48".
