Alfa Mist is a British musician, producer, songwriter, and MC. His work combines jazz improvisation with club and hip-hop influences, an has worked with musicians such as Tom Misch, Yussef Dayes, and Jordan Rakei. His career highlight came to the scene when his album, Bring Backs, was a nominee for the MOBO Awards in 2021.
A student of music at the Newham Sixth Form College and Langdon Academy, he ventured into creating his own music at the age of 15, by working as a teenage hip-hop producer. From hip-hop, he moved on the jazz, and eventually, the piano.
His album Antiphon, which featues in the Dubai Audio Weekly Highlight playlist, was created around a conversation with his brothers. Antiphon blends melancholy Jazz harmony with alternative hip-hop and soul. He counts Antiphon an one of his obvious breakthrough work, because of its rise to popularity by millions of views on YouTube.
